We decided to try Mexican in Madrid for a change and found this delightful little bar serving great Mexican food...

Funny name... It translates from Catalan as The Fifteen Nights. Located on a corner of Plaça Reial in the heart of the Gothic Quarter, Quinze Nits was one of our favourite restaurants in Barca... On a balmy evening grab a table outside under the colonnade and order a jug of Sangria while you peruse the menu. We ordered Rocket, Pear and Parmesan Salad,  Crispy Skin Salmon, Slow Cooked Lamb and Salmon Carpaccio. And of course Patatas Bravas... arguably the best we had in all of Spain. As was the sensational Apple Tarte Tartin, washed down with a crisp glass of Rosé.

Lateral is situated on Plaza de Santa Ana in the heart of Madrid. The place was all abuzz and the food was so amazing we didn't want to waste time taking photos... that and it was also pretty dark. So don't judge the food by the not-so-good iphone pics below...
